Website Privacy & Accessibility

How this website handles information, and how to reach us if any part of it is hard to use.

About this page

This page is about the website. It is not the practice's Notice of Privacy Practices, which covers your child's health information and is a separate document you can download from Policies & Forms.

What this website collects

This site is a set of plain pages. It does not run advertising, it does not track you across other websites, and it sets no analytics or advertising cookies.

The only information the site receives is what you type into the message form on the Contact Us page: your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, and your message. That is sent to the practice's office inbox so someone can reply to you. It is not sold, rented or shared with anyone outside the practice.

Our web host records ordinary server information, such as the address your request came from and which page you asked for, to keep the site running and to stop abuse.

Please do not send medical details through this website

Email and web forms are not secure, and the message form is not a patient portal. Use it to ask a general question or to ask us to call you back. For anything clinical, including test results, symptoms, prescriptions and records, use the patient portal or call the office at (734) 488-8971.

If you are worried about your child right now, call the office. If it is an emergency, call 911.

Some pages link to outside organisations, such as the American Academy of Pediatrics. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this notice does not cover them.

Children

This website is written for parents and guardians. It is not designed for children to use on their own, and we do not knowingly collect information from a child through it.

Accessibility

We want every parent to be able to use this site, including parents who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, need larger text, or rely on high contrast.

The site is built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as its target. In practice that means:

  • every page works by keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a skip link to the main content
  • text sits at a contrast ratio that meets AA, and the page still works when you zoom to 200%
  • images that carry meaning have text alternatives, and decorative artwork is hidden from screen readers
  • headings, lists and tables are marked up as what they are, so a screen reader can move through them
  • motion is reduced automatically if your device is set to prefer reduced motion
  • the downloadable forms are text-based PDFs with real form fields, so they can be filled in on screen rather than printed and hand-written

Accessibility is never finished, and automated checks miss things that real people hit.

Tell us if something does not work

If any part of this site or any of our forms is difficult for you to use, please tell us and we will fix it and get you the information another way in the meantime.

Call (734) 488-8971 or email [email protected]. Tell us the page and what happened, and we will get back to you.

If you need something from this site in another format, including large print, plain text or read aloud over the phone, ask and we will provide it at no charge.

Changes to this notice

If we change how the website handles information, this page changes with it.

Send us a message.

For appointment requests and general questions. Please do not include medical details here, because email is not secure. Use the patient portal for anything clinical, and call the office if your child needs to be seen.
